On Protein, you need more of it?
Ways to include protein into your diet, if you feel you need more of it other than with meats. We should be trying to keep meat as a secondary to even a tertiary component to our challenge.
1) Nuts. All varieties. Nut butter, peanut butter is excellent, get the real stuff though. Almond butter. Walnuts, pine nuts, pistachios, cashews, and peanuts are great choices.
2) Seeds. Pumpkin seeds, sunflower, sesameā¦ sprinkle them on your oatmeal or your salads. Think flax, chia and hemp seeds.
3) Beans. Think garbanzo/chick peas or black beans. Lentils and lima beans work too.
4) Spinach. High protein and also loaded with fiber and Vitamin A.
5) Oatmeal. If you're including oatmeal, this is is a good protein choice. Try buckwheat too.
6) Sun dried tomatoes, dried apricots, dried peaches
7) Green peas 8) Brussel sprouts
9) Broccoli
10 Asparagus

I know there's a lot of debate over soy... but sometimes I eat tempeh. It's fermented, which makes its nutrients more accessible and makes it a lot healthier for the body than normal unfermented soy (soymilk, tofu, etc.).

I am aware too, of that. I do eat soy sauce and my mother-in-law uses tofu every now and then. I am fine with that. I eat tempeh and satan too. (Seitan). I have it seldom and hadn't made a firm decision about it yet.
